Tarang Scientific Instruments

Tarang Scientific Instruments, located in Dharwad, Karnataka has been inspired by Prof. D.R. Balurgi, National Award recipient for popularising science among children. Tarang aims at awakening natural curiosity of young minds and has been working since 2003. It started with a hope to get children to strengthen their fundamental knowledge of physical phenomena experienced in daily life.

Tarang manufactures creative teaching aids, simplified learning equipments and various innovative models and exhibits for the elementary and secondary curriculum. These materials engage kids in topics such as air and pressure, thermodynamics and heat, electricity and magnetism, light, mechanics, solar energy and much more. The materials help kids to visualise, comprehend, verify and justify the complex and abstract nature of physical science often just explained in textbooks. The equipment and kits are cost effective, durable, robust, small scale and easy to operate, making it viable for schools to let kids engage in hands on learning. All kits come with manuals and the group also provides demonstration lessons on request.
