Story Telling workshop at Bhopal Muskaan and Learning Network invite you for a 2-day story telling workshop organized in Bhopal. Kathalaya would be conducting a 2 day Story Power workshop. Storytelling has been known for the power of educating, counseling and addressing social issues. Stories could be used effectively in classrooms to teach concepts, draw the attention and interest of children into science, history and other topics taught in class. The Workshop will focus on the above aspects of storytelling with the outcome that the participants will gain valuable insights into the art of storytelling and use it as an effective communication tool in classroom teaching. Topics Developing qualities of a storyteller, Storytelling forms, techniques, aids - Chitrakathas / Picture Stories, Puppet stories, Mime-Story samples and demonstration, Practical/Creative sessions and exercises in formation and rendition of thematic stories, making lesson plans and integrating stories in classroom. It has so far trained over 6000 teachers and individuals in the art of storytelling and using it as an educational tool. It also reaches out to several schools in Bangalore and around the country with its workshops for children and teachers. Kathalaya has trained hundreds of NGO personnel across the country in the art of storytelling for communicating social messages to the society.
