Vidya Online is an effort at harnessing the benefits of ICT (internet computer technology) for the cause of education. Through appropriate use of technology, especially internet and multimedia solutions, Vidya Online aims at

- Providing children and teachers a richer learning experience
- Popularising use of ICT in education
Work Description
To begin with, the initiative has resulted in a 'one stop' non-commercial website, which facilitates knowledge sharing, provides resources and online help for better classroom transactions, creates forums for critical reflection on issues in education and supports ongoing teacher improvement initiatives. In addition, Vidya Online imparts training in the use of ICT for education.
Resources Available
All resources on the website are free for non-commercial purposes. The resources include curricular support, readings in education, public documents, downloadable e-books, contacts and e-courses.
