We are happy to invite you to participate in the 7th Annual Learning Network conference from Feb 4th to 7th 2010 at Timbaktu Collective, Andhra Pradesh. We really hope you can come. Please send in your RSVP/registration by Dec 31st 2009 to us. More details given below.
The annual conference is an opportunity for everyone to come together for mutual learning once a year. It is an ideal ground for people who want to explore different aspects of education to meet with one another and get to know different approaches and perspectives. Each year, we host the conference in different geographical locations for better outreach, dissemination and to help uncover efforts all over India. Each region also brings its own local flavor of conference. This year Timbaktu Collective in Andhra Pradesh has generously offered their venue for the 2010 conference. We invite you to the annual conference and help us make it an enriching experience for everyone. You may choose to participate in different ways.
- Make a presentation/Lead a discussion. Please see presentation guidelines.
- Lead a hands-on-workshop. Please see workshop guidelines.
- Contribute interesting articles/write-ups to include in our annual magazine Revive, distributed at the conference. Do see guidelines for Revive articles.
- Exhibit learning aids, teaching learning materials, methodologies worked on at your organization.
- Participate as a listener and learner.
- Suggest other ideas not listed above!
Conference 2010
We will provide translation from English-Telugu/Hindi for most part of the conference to ensure maximum participation. Attendance for the conference is by RSVP only to ensure accommodation, food and other arrangements. Please do write to us confirming your participation by sending us the completed registration form via email or post before December 31, 2009.
We welcome your suggestions and input towards the conference. We look forward to your active participation at every stage of the conference preparation to ensure that we make the best use of our time spent together. Thank you and looking forward to your reply.

Venue
Timbaktu collective is located at Chennekothapalli (aka C.K.Palli) village 165 km north of Bangalore . It sits just off the NH7 (National Highway 7) that connects Bangalore and Hyderabad . Please see Timbaktu Collective for more details about Timbaktu Collective. They have worked for many years with numerous experiments in sustainable development and helped create a beautiful environment close to nature and natural living.

You can travel by bus or train to CK Palli. From CK Palli, we will provide a shuttle to the venue. Shuttle timings will be published closer to the conference.
Facilities Available
Simple, clean shared accommodation and bathroom facilities are available at the venue. Vegetarian food will be served at the venue itself.
Registration Fee
(Includes all expenses for accommodation and food.)
Subsidized Fees: Each person from an organization pays Rs 600/-. Maximum number of participants from each organization is four. If you need further reduction in registration fees – please do let us know.
Full Costs: If you can afford to pay in full, please do - it will greatly help us cover the cost of the conference. Full costs are Rs 1500/- per person. (A portion of this will also help others who cannot afford as much. Thank you!)
Payment method:
- Cash at venue - this is preferable
- DD made out to MORE payable at Madanapalle. This can be brought to the venue or if you would like to send the payment in advance, please send it to The Learning Network's Chennai address.
